About Miguel Corral and the full program:

Flamenco & Brazilian Masterclass — Pay What You Want!

Join us for a unique musical experience led by an exceptional guitarist, arranger, composer, and educator with over 30 years of professional experience. Trained in the top conservatories of Madrid, Granada, and Córdoba — and in Rio de Janeiro with masters Félix Santos and Dino Sete Cordas — his playing blends flamenco roots with Brazilian, Afro-Cuban, and jazz influences.

Known for his rich, improvisation-driven style and unmistakable Spanish sound, he has collaborated with artists such as Mario Maya, Enrique Morente, Rubem Dantas, and the Spanish National Jazz Orchestra.

Currently a flamenco professor at the Conservatorio Profesional de Danza de Granada, he also leads international workshops on popular music and improvisation.

This is your chance to experience both Flamenco and Brazilian musical worlds in one session. 

Flamenco Master Class:


Explore the core elements of flamenco music: rhythm, harmony, melody, and form.
Understand its diverse styles and unique characteristics.
Develop technical skills for performing flamenco, especially for guitarists.
Provide tools for any musician to begin playing flamenco.
Content Overview:

Rhythm: Flamenco meters and compás (binary, ternary, mixed, 12-beat cycles). Elasticity, polyrhythms, and rhythmic groupings.
Harmony: Major/minor modes, flamenco mode, Andalusian cadence, bimodality, typical chords and functions.
Melody: Tonal/modal aspects, microtonality, Phrygian and Major Phrygian modes.
Form: Structural elements in flamenco singing, guitar playing, and dance.
For Guitarists:

Core techniques: rasgueado, thumb technique, alzapúa, arpeggios, picado, legato, etc.
Roles of the flamenco guitar: accompaniment and solo playing.
